    Great. Thank you. I already had to do this once, about ten years ago. My 2hp crapped out today. It will work on 120 but not 240v. I bought a new pump that should arrive tomorrow. Any idea why a pump would work on 120 but not 240v? The power in is 240 confirmed, 120 per leg.. capacitor is fine at 25uf, The only thing that was out of spec were the ohms between the windings (I think). I used the 3 leads to the capacitor and assumed each wire is one of the windings. I got something like 3.1, 4.2 and the third should be 7.3, but was only 6.3 or so (if that makes sense. I’m talking about between the pairs of windings. Anyway, it would not run at all on 240. No noise, no buzz no nothing. I switched it over to 120 by moving a jumper on the power inlet, made a cord with spade connections, plugged it into 120 outlet and it ran fine. I’m stumped. Any ideas? Sorry for the long post and thanks for the video. It was helpful.

    i just inherited an entire lot of this brand, blower hand trimmer and the wt3100 trimer you have. I have to replace the fuel lines but I'm a weee lost on which port the fuel line is on the carb and the starter line for the starter bubble fuel?

    • @QuaabQueb
      @QuaabQueb 10 днів тому

      @@jmarsh9967 There are some better videos that show how to identify the fuel pickup and return. Basically the primer bulb sucks fuel in to the lower part of the carburetor through the metering body. The pickup is always on the side where the small filter screen in the carburetor body is located. The port on the metering body (where the diaphragm is, will be the return.)

      @@jmarsh9967 Look at your carburettor. The portion where the primer bulb is located.There is a tube close to that piece. That is the return line to the tank. The lower portion with the other tube is the fuel pickup. That is the line that is attached to your fuel filter.

    Loosen that handle bolt halfway and hit it with a rubber mallet. Easy. Those handle nuts are manufactured like that purposefully: the older iteration that was solid brass caused issues. Installers would overtighten them and crush the inner shaft, damaging the light in the process. Imagine how much damage one overzealous PD installer could do in a day.

    @QuaabQueb, awesome video dude. My buddy has a similar unit (Hayward Heatmaster) He didn't properly store it during the winter and the cpvc split. Does the whole coil have to be replaced? Worth saving?

    • @QuaabQueb
      @QuaabQueb 20 днів тому

      @@justinhussey2376 Probably not. I would try the easiest and cheapest thing first. Try and sand down the split. Get a section of 2" pvc pipe, cut a slot on and then warm it with the heat gun to open it up, you are making a sort of "patch" you can slide over the split pipe and glue it on with pvc primer and cement. It may hold for a year or two. You can try and find a donor unit on marketplace. People often give them away for free when they crap out. Keep in mind the titanium heat condenser coil is running through the cpvc coil. You will need an hvac technician to come pull a vacuum on the unit, disconnect the coil, install the new one and recharge. That service call may be worth more than the cost of the unit unless you know a guy in the field

I have thoroughly cleaned my carburetor but it will only run with my hand over the air inlet. Like maybe a vacuum leak behind the carburetor but it's got a decent ring gasket on the tube.
